Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Six or more years of related experience.
• P.E. license in good standing is desired but not required.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Advance Steel) and design software such as RISA-3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural design, design criteria and code compliance for entire structural systems or projects.
• Develop and communicate structural details and connections for project drawings and specs.
• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings in CAD software; perform material take-offs and BOMs.
• Review vendor documents for structural components; mentor junior engineers.

Education

PreferredEducation/Experience:

Master’s Degree form an accredited college or university desired, not required. Knowledgeofmining and bulk material handling industries.

ComputerSkills/Experience:

Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using AutoCad, Advance Steel, SolidWorks (desired but not required). DesignSoftware:RISA‐3D or similar.

SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews designs of other structural engineers for code and design specification compliance. Uses experience to suggestinitialstructurallayouts to other disciplines. Mentors structuralengineering interns and other beginning structuralengineers.
