Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces? The Crystal Lake Park District is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Building Custodian/Maintenance professional to help keep our recreation facilities in top shape!

This important role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong time management skills, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the community. Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and routine maintenance of recreation facilities
• Set up and take down rooms and equipment for programs, rentals, and events
• Perform minor building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas (including snow removal/salting)
• Follow daily cleaning checklists and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning supplies (M.S.D.S. compliance)
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries and report facility issues as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred
• Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs. (with assistance for heavier loads)
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and manual labor
• Exposure to noise, dust, pollen, cleaning chemicals, and other environmental elements
