Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Building Custodian to maintain cleanliness of buildings, floors, bathrooms and windows. The role may involve operating cleaning equipment and performing minor repairs, across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends.

Under close supervision, you will follow safety policies, help manage cleaning supplies, and support maintenance tasks. Applicants should be at least 17, with a HS diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or one to two years general building maintenance experience.
• Preferred: High School Diploma with 1-2 years janitorial/building maintenance experience.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, with strong listening, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep interior and exterior of the building clean and professional.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by facility management.
• Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond to general assembly and repair requests quickly and professionally.
