Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Building Custodian to maintain cleanliness of corporate facilities.

Under supervision, you will sweep, mop, vacuum, clean bathrooms, and restock supplies, with potential outdoor work and occasional night or weekend shifts. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multitask, work independently or on a team, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or 1–2 years general building maintenance experience.
• Preferred: High School Diploma with 1–2 years janitorial/building maintenance experience; ability to multitask; ability to work independently and as part of a team; basic deductive reasoning; good listening, organizational and time management skills; self-motivation; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; PPE awareness.

Job Summary: Under close supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings or areas. Duties include picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the job, Custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
