Job summary

The Building People seeks a Building Controls Technician to advance building automation for smart infrastructure. The role involves programming, configuring, and testing DDC systems, with independent work and limited supervision for projects across a multi-state area.

Candidates should have Niagara N4 proficiency, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and experience with JACE/Server configurations and ARIMD/EMCS platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Niagara N4 Framework; Tridium N4 preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Programming skills and strong troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of DDC control theory and HVAC applications.
• Familiar with BACnet, LON, Modbus and related protocols.
• Proficient in Niagara Workbench and JACE/Server operations.
• Operational experience with ARIMD EBCS program desirable.
• Able to obtain Army Reserve ID card.

Responsibilities

• Update and correct JACEs to align with EBCS standards.
• Integrate corrected JACEs to ARIMD server using Virtuals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors for new JACE integrations.
• Assist with QAQC and project documentation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC/controls via EMCS and EBCS systems.
• Provide owner training and oversee system commissioning.
• Supervise subcontractors and support on-site installations.
