Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents affiliate TCAT Athens is seeking a full-time Associate Instructor in Building Construction Technology at the Athens Main Campus. The role requires a minimum 37.5 hours per week and focuses on delivering technical instruction and student support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum three years in building construction field, within last five years.
• Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, masonry, and plumbing.
• Licenses/certifications to be obtained within 12 months.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom instructional process: evaluate progress, assign grades, advise students, and maintain records.
• Develop and revise texts, materials, and curricula; maintain course syllabi.
• Stay current in instructional methods and building construction technologies; participate in development activities.
• Advise, recruit, admit and guide potential students; assist with job placement and student activities.
• Support accreditation, budgeting, and college decision-making; collaborate with colleagues and industry partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or administration.
