Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Inspector to perform multi-discipline third party inspections in line with state and local codes. The role includes reviewing construction plans, preparing daily reports, and ensuring strict adherence to ECS safety policies.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, 2 years of code compliance experience in mechanical/electrical/plumbing, and relevant certifications. Travel and driving responsibilities may apply depending on site assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of code compliance inspection experience for mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
• CCI commercial certification in MEP required.
• Licenses or certifications may be required depending on the state.
• Extensive knowledge of state and local building codes and procedures.
• A valid driver's license is required if driving for ECS.

Responsibilities

• Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety inspections.
• Inspect foundations, concrete slabs, framing, roofing and related construction activity.
• Perform plan reviews and determine if permitted designs require revisions and provide recommendations.
• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports per ECS policy.
• Market services by maintaining client interactions and participating in business development and marketing related to construction inspections.
• Follow ECS safety procedures and policies.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections


• Perform inspections of foundations, concrete slabs, framing, roofing and related construction activity


• Perform plan reviews and determine if the permitted design plans may require revisions and make recommendations to the contractors, engineers and/or architect


• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy


• Market our services by maintaining and developing client interactions and participating in business development and marketing functions related to construction inspections


• Follow ECS safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required



• 2 years of experience in code compliance inspection of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems


• NCP CCI commercial certification in mechanical, electrical and plumbing required


• Certifications are required for all types of testing performed.
