ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join our Southwest Facilities team in Austin, TX. You’ll lead a wide range of inspection and plan review projects while ensuring alignment with state and local building codes, leveraging hands-on experience across building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities include performing third‑party inspections, preparing daily reports, mentoring others, managing project scope and budget, and supporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in code compliance inspection or plan review.
• At least one valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or Fire Inspector II); IECC certification preferred.
• Texas State Licensed Plumbing Inspector certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform third party building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections.
• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage code compliance projects including plan reviews, technical support, inspections, and budget monitoring; attend site meetings and assist with problem resolution.
• Mentor and train other building inspectors; assist with management of P&L and client relations, and participate in marketing and business development.

Responsibilities

ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join our Southwest Facilities team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience in building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems, along with strong project management capabilities.

• Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures

• This position also involves project management of code compliance projects, including reviewing plans, providing technical support, conducting inspections, monitoring project process for performance and budgetary conditions, proposal preparation, as well as attending project site meetings, and assisting with the resolution of technical and administrative problems

• In this position you may be expected to mentor and train other building inspectors

• Responsibilities also include assisting with management of P & L, marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions, and participating in marketing and business development functions related to code inspections

• High School Diploma or GED

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in code compliance inspection of building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and/or plan review

• At least one valid ICC certification required (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or Fire Inspecto r II) IECC Certification is preferred

• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required

• Texas State Licensed Plumbing Inspector certification required.
