Job summary

DCU Center in Worcester, MA is seeking a dependable janitorial associate to perform routine housekeeping across the facility, including sweeping, mopping, restroom upkeep, window cleaning and trash removal.

You will operate vacuums, floor scrubbers and carpet extractors, read and follow safety instructions, and assist with recycling separation. The role is non-supervisory with day/evening shifts and requirements for 18+ and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to read, understand and follow safety and cleaning procedures (SDS/GHS).
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely (vacuums, buffers, scrubbers).
• Flexible hours including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine housekeeping tasks to keep the facility clean and presentable.
• Clean rooms and areas: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies; clean stains from carpets/seats.
• Clean windows inside and outside; assist in recycling separation.
• Operate walkie-talkie and maintain professional appearance during shifts.

Under direction, perform routine housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and presentable facility at all times.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Participates in cleaning various rooms and areas of the facility to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping/scrubbing, vacuuming of carpets, removal of trash to proper disposal areasCleans restrooms, restocks/replenishes supplies when required, cleans stains, etc. from carpets and seatsCleans windows, both inside and outside of the facilityAssists as directed in the separation of recyclables from trash and the proper disposal of these itemsCleans and maintains other equipment and areas as directedOperate walkie-talkie radio when requiredPresent a neat and groomed appearance and demeanor at all times during the workdaySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
