Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to coordinate, install, and commission Building Automation and Security Management systems on-site. You’ll work independently or with a team under supervision and report to the Field Service Manager.

You will diagnose software issues, perform preventative maintenance, write code as needed, assist with commissioning, and support project teams with scheduling and deficiency communications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant work experience.
• On-site service and coordination experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or with team under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues on Building Automation and Energy Management Systems.
• Perform software preventative maintenance including patches and antivirus updates.
• Code software using multiple languages and environments as needed.
• Suggest system improvements and modifications.
• Assist with commissioning and startup of new systems to ensure proper operation.
• Develop software code, graphics, and drivers for HMI and front-end interfaces.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks.
• Support 3rd party commissioning agents and communicate deficiencies to the project team.
• Support network troubleshooting and run packet captures for engineering use.
• Initiate, manage, and communicate status for field-related product support cases.
• Assist Project Manager with scheduling and prioritization for startup tasks.
