Job description

Systems Specialist – Building Automation

Growing Mechanical Contractor is looking for a Systems Specialist to install, commission, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS/BMS). In this role, you’ll ensure system performance aligns with design specifications, optimizing energy efficiency and sustainability for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commission and test newly installed direct digital control (DDC) systems
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve network and operational issues
  3. Perform system backups, diagnostics, and configuration
  4. Conduct final inspections, testing, and customer training
  5. Collaborate with project teams and contractors for seamless system integration
  6. Adhere to safety protocols and complete required documentation
Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  1. Experience with electro-mechanical systems and PC/software applications
  2. 3+ years in BAS/BMS programming, commissioning, or diagnostics
  3. Familiarity with LON, BACnet, N2, Modbus, and other industry protocols
  4. Ability to work in various environments, including roofs, crawl spaces, and high lifts
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to use hand tools, laptops, and mobile devices
  6. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
