Qualifications

Job description

About HTS Engineering Ltd.

HTS Engineering Ltd. is the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers’ representative in North America, with 20 locations across the US and Canada. We are committed to the success of all involved in HVAC projects, including employees, suppliers, customers, and end users.

Job Duties
  1. Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory.
  2. Create and modify program algorithms for multiple systems.
  3. Communicate with all levels of the contracting chain regarding installation schedules, milestones, project progress, commissioning, and closeout plans.
  4. Track and forecast labor and material costs, and adhere to estimates.
  5. Manage suppliers and subcontractors during construction to ensure schedule adherence.
  6. Identify potential field changes, communicate them, and assist in cost estimates for change orders.
  7. Generate and submit extra work orders for non-contracted work.
  8. Create control algorithms, manage system databases, and implement graphical user interfaces.
  9. Analyze and resolve system issues to ensure proper functioning.
  10. Perform service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on building systems.
  11. Coordinate customer training and ensure timely project closeout documentation.
  12. Provide technical support to end-users and employees.
  13. Adhere to HTS Code of Ethics and all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Vocational School or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar; or equivalent military experience, plus two years of industry experience, or five years of experience servicing electronic/mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
  • Proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of IP networks.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Experience with Lonworks and/or BACnet control systems, Tridium, and Niagara 4 preferred.
Education & Certifications

High School Diploma, honorable US Military service, and/or Trade School Certificates/License. Valid driver’s license with a clean record. Certifications such as Niagara Tridium, Siemens Talon, and Distech Controls are preferred.
