Our Systems Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment that has been newly installed and support the verification of the system database and programming, ensuring consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations. Our Systems Specialists are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help them save energy and money, as well as create a more sustainable future for our environment.

As a Systems Specialist, you will:
  1. Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
  2. Plan work with Lead Technician, and Team Leader.
  3. Assist with data backup from data servers and the creation of automated backup procedures. Support troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations. Assist with the setup and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces.
  4. Support the confirmation of proper network performance.
  5. Run routine reports to review system operation. Participate in final inspection and testing. Support customer acceptance. Assist with customer training on system operations.
  6. Complete and submit routine written reports. Provide plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings.
  7. Support project site communication and coordination, including scheduling trade contractors for startup services. Submit accurate time and expense reports.
  8. Work overtime when needed, including extended hours to meet commitments.
  9. Work rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel.
  10. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Work effectively in a team environment supporting our customers.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years’ experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
  • Electro-mechanical experience or education and user PC/software skills.
  • Experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in different environments.
  • Ability to use hand tools, laptops, email, smartphones, tablets, and carry equipment/tools weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be 18+ years old, with a valid driver’s license and limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
