Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician in the Chicago area. You will install, startup, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring efficient building operation.

You'll perform programming, commissioning, and testing, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with project managers and engineers. Travel locally and deliver exceptional service while documenting work for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience servicing or commissioning commercial BAS.
• Experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Alerton, Distech, Delta Controls, or Automated Logic.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control sequences, electrical troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel local throughout the Chicago area.
