Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician to install, startup, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities in the Chicago area. The role involves commissioning new systems, diagnosing issues, and delivering high‑quality service to customers.

You will perform programming, point‑to‑point checkout, and functional testing, read control drawings, and maintain thorough service documentation while collaborating

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience servicing or commissioning commercial BAS
• Experience with major BAS platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure, Niagara, Metasys, Desigo, Honeywell, Alerton, Distech, Delta Controls, or Automated Logic
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control sequences, electrical troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally in Chicago

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, troubleshoot, and service BAS and HVAC control systems.
• Program controllers, perform point-to-point checkout, and conduct system commissioning.
• Diagnose communication, network, and control issues to keep customer systems running smoothly.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers during installation and service projects.
• Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and mechanical plans.
• Complete service documentation and provide customers with clear updates on work performed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term client relationships.

Summary: We're looking for an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician to install, startup, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities throughout the Chicago area. In this role, you'll help ensure buildings operate efficiently by commissioning new systems, resolving technical issues, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
