Job summary

Insight Global in Columbus, OH is seeking a Building Automation Specialist II to support service and construction projects as a technical lead. You will perform complex programming, troubleshoot Building Management System issues, and work closely with Project Managers, customers, and subcontractors during checkout and commissioning.

The role requires experience with BMS, HVAC or controls, and at least 24 months as a Specialist I, plus ability to develop graphics logic strategies from Sequences

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months experience as Specialist I or equivalent
• Experience diagnosing complex programming issues and implementing corrections
• Ability to create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems
• Experience with Building Management System (BMS)
• Experience with HVAC or building controls in some capacity

Responsibilities

• Serve as the service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects when applicable
• Execute complex programming and system corrective actions
• Act as a primary resource to Project Managers for daily project status reports
• Serve as the technical lead for project field teams during checkout and commissioning processes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex Building Management System issues
• Diagnose complex programming issues and implement corrections
• Create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems
• Serve as the Holaday-Parks lead in commissioning and functional testing meetings
• Write and execute customer Method of Procedure and MCM documentation
• Manage subcontractor daily reports and performance
• Serve as the point of contact for necessary corrective actions involving subcontractors
• Perform other duties as project needs dictate

• No on-call service is currently being provided, but it is anticipated in the future

Must Haves:

• Experience with BMS
• Experience with HVAC or controls in some capacity
• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a Specialist I or equivalent work experience
• Experience diagnosing complex programming issues and implementing corrections
• Ability to create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems
