Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Building Automation Specialist II in Worthington, OH, onsite 5 days a week. The role focuses on leading service and construction projects, performing complex programming, and diagnosing Building Management System issues for large HVAC systems.

The candidate will coordinate with Project Managers, customers, and subcontractors, creating graphics logic strategies and ensuring successful commissioning and testing. On-call rotation is anticipated in the future.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a Specialist I or equivalent work experience.
• Detailed understanding of complex mechanical systems and Building Management System issues.
• Ability to create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects when applicable.
• Execute complex programming and system corrective actions.
• Act as a primary resource to Project Managers for daily project status reports.
• Serve as the technical lead for project field teams during checkout and commissioning processes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex Building Management System issues.
• Diagnose complex programming issues and implement corrections.
• Create complex graphics logic strategies for central plants and large HVAC systems.
• Lead commissioning and functional testing meetings as Holaday-Parks lead.

ON-CALL RESPONSIBILITY:

• Participate as a member of the On-Call Service rotation
• No on-call service is currently being provided, but it is anticipated in the future

Must Haves:

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a Specialist I or equivalent work experience
• Ability to demonstrate reliable and successful performance of job responsibilities
• Detailed understanding of complex mechanical systems
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex Building Management System issues
• Experience diagnosing complex programming issues and implementing corrections
• Ability to create complex graphics logic strategies from Sequences of Operation for central plants and large HVAC systems

DAY TO DAY: The Building Automation Specialist II will support service and construction projects as a technical lead. This person will perform complex programming, troubleshoot Building Management System issues, support project field teams through checkout and commissioning, and work closely with Project Managers, customers, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects when applicable
• Execute complex programming and system corrective actions

• Serve as the technical lead for project field teams during checkout and commissioning processes
