Overview

Building Automation Sales Representative — Columbus, OH

Comfort Systems USA Ohio is growing our Building Automation Systems (BAS) team in Columbus and is seeking a Building Automation Sales Representative to help expand our BAS, HVAC controls, service agreements, retrofit, and integrated building systems business. This role suits someone with a strong technical understanding of building automation who enjoys solving customer challenges, building relationships, and transitioning into a consultative sales career while staying connected to the technical side of the industry.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with building owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, and end users to identify and develop solutions for:
• Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) service agreements
• Controls upgrades and system integrations
• Retrofit and modernization projects
• Energy optimization initiatives
• Preventive maintenance programs
• Long-term customer partnerships and account growth
• Collaborate with engineering, service, and operations teams to develop practical solutions that improve building performance, occupant comfort, system reliability, and energy efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced in Building Automation Systems or HVAC controls
• Customer-focused with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable explaining technical solutions in a clear and practical way
• Organized, self-motivated, and driven to grow business
• Interested in developing a long-term career in technical sales
• Previous outside sales experience is helpful but not required; strong technical backgrounds are welcome for a transition to a customer-facing sales role

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range of $70,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience
• Uncapped commission opportunities tied to new business development and account growth
