Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Project Manager to lead installations and integrations for Data Center and Building Automation Systems in the Chicagoland area. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedule and budget, and ensure safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading turnover meetings, managing communications, preparing schedules, handling change orders, and delivering documentation and training to customers and service teams.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products and willingness to work with AI app integrations.
• General knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio for reviewing drawings.
• Some electrical/ mechanical engineering training or experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of low voltage electronics.
• Knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) operation and control.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC and hydronic system operation and control.
• Understanding of serial and IP communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Leads Sales to Operations Turnover meetings to gain understanding of project scope and determine readiness for proceed.
• Ensure safety requirements are adhered to and foster safety culture.
• Direct and coordinate project team activities to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct regular project team meetings and manage action items and schedule.
• Develop MS Project schedules with milestones and critical path; share with team.
• Follow standards for project reporting, communication, and documentation.
• Place orders for materials and review engineering submittals.
• Visit job sites regularly to coordinate installation and attend project meetings.
• Coordinate, prepare, and respond to change orders related to project scope.
• Prepare monthly project forecasts and AIA billing; communicate with Operations Manager.
• Coordinate turnover to customers including training and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate turnover to Service Department including close-out docs and punch lists.
• Facilitate lessons learned reviews with the project team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
