Job summary

Siemens AG in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Building Automation Systems HVAC Specialist to join our Smart Infrastructure team. The role supports installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation systems on construction sites with a focus on energy efficiency and reliability.

You will interact with customers, perform system verification, and prepare as-built documents while coordinating with engineers and field staff. On-site work, travel, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• Electro-mechanical experience and PC/software skills.
• Ability to read and interpret design and construction documents.
• Willing to work in ladders, scaffolds, ducts, and variable spaces.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within timelines.
• Plan work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
• Assist with data backups from servers and set up PC workstations/UI.
• Support network performance checks and troubleshooting.
• Run routine reports and participate in final inspections and customer acceptance.
• Submit routine written reports and provide docs for as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with trade contractors and manage time/expense reports.
• Occasional overtime and minimal overnight travel.
