Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking a Building Automation Controls Engineer in Connecticut to program, commission, and optimize BAS/DDC systems for diverse facilities. You will develop graphics, alarms, trends, and control sequences, while troubleshooting and ensuring proper operation of systems.

The role requires experience with HVAC controls and reading blueprints, plus the ability to travel to client sites and interact with customers. A relevant engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience programming Building Automation or DDC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control strategies.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Program and configure Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC).
• Develop graphics, alarms, trends, schedules, and control sequences.
• Commission new control systems and verify proper operation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues.
• Integrate HVAC equipment including air handlers, chillers, boilers, VAVs, pumps, cooling towers, and rooftop units.
• Perform point-to-point checkout and startup activities.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, technicians, and customers.
• Optimize building performance for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Provide customer training and technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and programming backups.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Connecticut as required.
