Central Mechanical Wichita is seeking a Controls Technician to lead building automation from rough-in to turnover. You will install, wire, and terminate controllers, sensors, valves, actuators, and field devices, then download, test, and verify programming and graphics.

You will perform commissioning and troubleshoot issues across HVAC systems while keeping documentation and stakeholders informed. The role requires an Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent, 3+ years in controls, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the controls industry, ideally installing and troubleshooting building automation systems.
• Strong ability to read construction, electrical, and controls drawings (required).
• Solid electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with complex HVAC systems and a solid grasp of HVAC fundamentals and sequences of operation.

Responsabilités

• Own controls work from rough-in to turnover.
• Install, wire, and terminate controllers, sensors, valves, actuators, and field devices.
• Download, test, and verify programming and graphics.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and commissioning.
• Track down and fix control, electrical, and equipment problems on new and existing systems.
• Make sure every system runs to its sequence of operation and the project specs.
• Work from construction, electrical, and controls drawings.
• Keep project managers, trades, GCs, and building owners informed.
• Maintain clean documentation, including as-builts, checkout sheets, and service reports.
