Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Service Technician in Capitol Heights, MD to maintain, repair and install building control systems. You will perform commissioning, diagnostics and on-site servicing with a focus on customer satisfaction while mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication and writing skills to explain technical information.

Responsabilités

• Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunction requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls.
• Consults with customers through data gathering and site assessments; provides field proposals for retrofits or upgrades.
• Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution; coordinates with managers and subcontractors as needed.
• Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings; assists in job layouts and bid proposals.
• Keeps customers informed on service provided, issues, system enhancements and potential upsell opportunities.
