Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some weekend rotation. (Weekend rotations are primarily during the academic year.)**Job Description****Essential Duties:*** Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles.* May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows.* May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restrooms.* May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs and trees.* May sow grass and renovate turf areas; may apply herbicides to lawn.* May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies.* May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom or pot and pan area.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Requires a high school diploma or GED.* No experience required.* May require driver's license.* This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical.**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Knowledge of the use of either cleaning equipment/materials or lawn equipment/materials* Ability to understand and follow directions**Additional Position Information (if applicable)****Special Instructions (if applicable)**None**Additional Information**A criminal background check is required.
