Job summary

loanDepot is seeking a Builder Loan Consultant to cultivate builder referrals and manage real estate loan applications from inquiry to closing. The role focuses on educating borrowers about mortgage options, expanding the builder network, and delivering exceptional service throughout the loan process.

The successful candidate will coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closings, maintain accurate records, and represent the company in builder, realtor, and community events while upholding

Qualifications

• NMLS loan originator license required.
• 1–3 years of Loan Origination experience required.
• Experience originating purchase loans required.
• Builder experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective homebuyers, referral partners, real estate professionals, and other business sources to generate new lending opportunities.
• Engage with prospective borrowers to assess financing needs and provide education on available mortgage solutions and loan programs.
• Expand market presence by developing and maintaining a network of builder, real estate, and community relationships that support business growth objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the mortgage process, providing guidance and support from initial consultation through closing and beyond.
• Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, referral partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and a high level of customer service.
