Job summary

Progress Residential LP is seeking an Acquisitions Associate - BTR to help reshape the single-family rental market by underwriting newly built and to-be- constructed homes using proprietary data and analytics. You will identify, prioritize, underwrite, and prepare investment materials for portfolios in fast-growing markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or related subject) required.
• 3 years experience as a financial, real estate, or banking analyst required.
• Advanced Excel, Power Point, GIS and database management skills.
• Experience with sourcing, collection and management of market research in a high volume, private equity-like environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and deadlines.
• Is self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires abstract thinking and creative solutions.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Own the BTR data collection process, aggregating BTR data from multiple sources and creating easy-to-use reports for underwriting and general market knowledge.
• Underwrite, analyze, generate offers and draft investment committee materials for build-to-rent acquisition opportunities.
• Use proprietary data, visualization tools and models to inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance project management, ensuring BTR projects meet all critical timelines.
• Work cross-functionally with investment, operational, and asset management teams to ensure streamlined onboarding of new BTR projects.
