Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer to own reliability across design, fabrication, and production processes for Starship valves and components. You will partner with design and manufacturing to create robust quality plans, implement process controls, and drive continuous improvement on the factory floor and in the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering.
• Experience with aerospace hardware.
• Ability to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce build, assembly, and inspection processes.
• Identify reliability gaps and implement improvements.
• Create quality plans for flight hardware with test plans.
• Monitor product and process performance across ramp-up.
• Lead regular build quality reviews to reduce risk.
• Investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
• Design tooling for testing, fixturing, and rigging.
• Define inspection requirements and procedures.
• Quarantine and guide rework on non-conforming parts.
