Job summary

Arc in Los Angeles is seeking a Build Engineer to drive the transition of commercial vessels from development to high-rate production, shaping manufacturing processes, tooling, and production flow.

You will review CAD models, design production tooling, create manufacturing BOMs, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver next-generation vessels on schedule. This is an on-site, full-time role with competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to manufacturing.
• 1+ years hands-on experience in design, development and manufacturing.
• Willingness to build next-generation boats and work hands-on.
• Physically able to perform required lifting and movement.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop production procedures and transition parts from development to production.
• Architect the manufacturing system, factory layout, and processes.
• Review CAD models and provide feedback for manufacturability and timing.
• Design production tooling using hand calculations and CAD.
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specs.
• Integrate subsystems into full vehicle assemblies and run test procedures.
• Dispostion rework and optimize production flow with targeted automation.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers for improvements.
