Building Maintenance Manager (Maintenance)

The Building Maintenance Manager is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance operations of the Mylan Park Aquatics & Track & Field Centers. This role ensures that all physical systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool systems, and general building infrastructure—are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for athletes, staff, and the community. This position also involves keeping all records up to date to comply with company, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. The Building Maintenance Manager reports directly to the General Manager (Aquatics & Track Center).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of all facility systems, including pool mechanicals, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and structural components.
2. Oversee any third-party contractors.
3. Schedule repairs and maintenance.
4. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff; assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor performance.
5. Coordinate routine inspections, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency repairs.
6. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and building regulations, including ADA standards, pool health codes, and other safety and sanitation regulations.
7. Manage vendor relationships for outsourced services such as HVAC repair, pool service, elevator maintenance, and waste management.
8. Track and manage maintenance budgets, work orders, parts inventory, and capital improvement projects.
9. Assist with setup and teardown for events and facility rentals.
10. Ensure security systems (including alarms and cameras) are functioning properly in coordination with IT and operations teams.
11. Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, warranties, and service reports.
12. Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies during and outside of regular hours.
