Job summary

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel is seeking a Buffet Warehouse Worker in Tama, IA. The role involves receiving and inspecting food & beverage shipments, rotating stock, and delivering supplies to F&B venues. You will help maintain inventory accuracy, adhere to food safety policies, and support inventory control initiatives.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must be 18+, able to obtain a gaming license, and capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check in items upon delivery to ensure orders meet specifications and sign invoices.
• Maintain knowledge of product specs for F&B goods.

• Document waste and ensure proper rotation of inventory.

Job Summary

Checks-in, unloads, unpacks and examines incoming shipments to the F&B warehouse. Rejects damaged items, records shortages and rectifies damages and shortages. Ensures proper rotation of all food and beverage products that will be used by the different F&B venues. Contributes effectively to purchasing and inventory control efforts.

• Check in items upon delivery to ensure all items delivered meet order specifications. Sign off on invoices. Receive shipments on receiving dock and coordinate workflow to ensure timely delivery of supplies to all venues.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of product specifications for all F&B goods.
• Comply with company and department food safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all shipments are received in good, undamaged condition. Inspect fresh produce for spoilage, damaged boxes and crushed products to refuse delivery and obtain credit memo from diver. Randomly weigh meat items to ensure correct poundage.
• Mark date of delivery on any/all items needed to encourage proper rotation and reduction of waste. Accurately document any/all waste.
• Deliver requested supplies to F&B venues.
• Compile invoice data for reporting purposes. Verify and keep accurate transfer information on products "owned" by one venue and transferred to another venue.
• Check the temperature of freezers and coolers at random to make sure they are working properly. And that all food is at the right temperature.
• Keep the freezers, coolers and dry storage areas clean and organized.
• Maintain correct par level of inventories and stock products in proper holding areas.
• Assist with physical inventory counts/reports as directed by the F&B Inventory Control Manager.
• Report any/all issues of interest to F&B Inventory Control Manager regarding F&B products and safety.
• Communicate and network effectively with staff, other departments and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective warehouse operation.
• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
• Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
• Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
• Comply with all departmental safety regulations, using safety equipment as required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Continually exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures and rapid variations in temperature. Substantial lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds will be required. May be required to lift over the shoulder height but this maneuver requires assistance (another person) when weight is involved. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. Requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, balancing, and pushing or pulling equipment. Must wear tread safe shoes.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to effectively communicate, with other members of the staff. Must have good reading, writing and math skills. Must be able to read and understand written policies, procedures, etc. Requires excellent organization and time management skills. Must be flexible with shift and days off (May be on-call during weekends, days off and holidays due to deliveries and different functions.). Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
