Job summary

We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in Fort McDowell, AZ, is seeking a Buffet Server to provide exceptional guest service in the buffet restaurant. The role includes taking drink orders, performing table maintenance, and supporting multiple outlets as needed.

Requires 1 year of restaurant server experience, valid food handler certification, and DRAM/alcohol training. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, pass a math test, and work nights/weekends is expected. Indian Preference applies.

Qualifications

• One year as a quick service restaurant or sit-down a la carte restaurant food server.
• Must have a valid food handlers’ certification.
• Must complete and maintain DRAM certification or similar alcohol awareness certification.
• 4-diamond resort or casino experience preferred.
• Ability to memorize menu and upsell menu items.
• Must be able to work InfoGenesis point of sale systems.
• Must pass a math test to ensure accurate cash handling transactions.
• Must obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
• Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and events.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards.
• Take drink orders and provide table maintenance in The Buffet area.
• Execute and provide drink service and table maintenance in an efficient and friendly fashion.
• Assist in banquet and catering events for the department including off site events when required.
• Work under the Buffet Supervisor to ensure a clean work environment with health and safety compliance.
• Strive for guest satisfaction through accurate orders and timely service.
• Open/close side work as required by management.
• Keep stock and inventory of service station items and main buffet items.
• Address guest issues with supervisor when needed.
• Work on casino floor with a hands-on guest service approach.
