Job summary

Sonesta Inn and Suites- Baton Rouge is seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to support breakfast and evening social venues, set up, service, and breakdown buffet areas, and interact with guests to deliver Sonesta Service.

The role requires fluent English, basic math, and prior food and beverage experience; certifications such as ServSafe and possibly TIPS may be required. You will maintain clean, organized service areas, assist in meeting room setups, and adhere to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Some previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta service in interactions with guests according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Prepare and transport food and beverage items and supplies to and from buffet areas.
• Monitor supplies and replenish items to serve all guests.
• Follow standards for preparation, presentation, serving temperatures, and portions.
• Prepare salads, sandwiches, soups for sale in the shoppe.
• Welcome guests and respond to requests promptly and professionally.
