Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Utility Buffet Server to create a warm dining experience for residents, guests and staff. You will present menus, take orders, and tailor portions while upholding safety and sanitation standards in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, safe operation of kitchen equipment, and collaboration with Executive/Sous Chefs to support daily service in the dining room.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm.
• Must communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.
• No previous work experience is required.
• State regulations may require a work permit; guidance provided by location.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming dining experience by greeting residents and guests, presenting menu options, taking accurate orders, and tailoring portions.
• Maintain cleanliness and handle dishware to prevent breakage and ensure safety.
• Keep the exhibition line attended and visually appealing during meal hours.
• Respond professionally to feedback, address concerns, and escalate issues as needed.
• Operate pizza ovens and sharp tools safely, following all safety standards (18+).
• Support team tasks as assigned by Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
• Maintain strict sanitation in all food prep and production areas.
