Job summary

Meskwaki Nation is seeking a part-time host/hostess with cashier responsibilities in Tama, IA. You will welcome guests, assist seating, and handle payments using the POS system, ensuring smooth dining room operations and excellent guest experiences.

You will maintain service standards, respond to guest inquiries, and support team members while adhering to safety and departmental policies. A disability accommodation option is available if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to pass departmental test requirements.
• Prior host/hostess and cashier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist seating as needed.
• Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to service standards and signage information.
• Process transactions using the POS system for cash, credit, or room charges.
• Answer phones professionally and relay messages.
• Address guest complaints and notify supervisor as needed.
• Monitor alcohol service and prevent intoxication.
• Maintain knowledge of department memos and information.
• Collaborate with staff and other departments for smooth operations.
