Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a Reporting & Budget Administrator within the Faculty Staff Housing (FSH) unit. This hybrid role focuses on reviewing, recording, and reporting rental income and expenses for Stanford’s rental properties, and supporting monthly journals and annual budget cycles.

The ideal candidate will apply basic accounting principles, have experience with property-management accounting systems, and communicate financial information clearly to internal partners

Qualifications

• Basic accounting principles including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Experience with property management accounting or financial reporting systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage).
• Experience supporting an annual budget cycle, including forecasting and periodic financial reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate with residents, managers, and internal partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal/external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with rental property portfolio to review, record, and report income and expenses by property.
• Assist Property Managers with annual FSH accounting and budget cycle activities; administer monthly journals for each community.
• Review and audit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to FSH.
