Job summary

State of Washington Department of Natural Resources seeks an Assistant Division Manager for Budget and Business Operations (WMS2) in Olympia. This full-time, permanent role supports the Forest Practices Program with strong budget and contract oversight and leadership responsibilities.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and several years of experience in budget development, supervision, and contract management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, or closely related field is required.
  • Three years of experience in managing an annual budget of $1 million or more and supervising two or more direct reports.
  • Experience developing and/or managing complex contracts and knowledge of IT systems and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial and program performance for the division.
  • Coordinate and lead biennial operating and capital budget requests and allotments.
  • Provide excellent supervision and participate on the Division Management Team.
  • Oversee development and tracking of the division’s fiscal contracts.
