The State of Nebraska Budget Office is currently seeking a Budget Management Analyst to joint their team. The State Budget Division provides fiscal policy coordination and support for Executive Branch leadership as well as guidance and oversight to state agencies in the development and execution of the Nebraska state budget. Bachelor's degree in public administration, finance or economics or related area plus four years of work experience in public administration, finance, economics or related area. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in any of the stated educational areas. The ideal candidate will have experience or training in delivering formal presentations on financial or budgetary matters. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience in the legislative process, policy research, data analysis, and/or the use of SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
