Job summary

The Montana Judicial Branch is seeking a finance professional to maintain fiscal accountability for juvenile placement funds and to coordinate with Youth Court staff and providers. This role supports the agency's mission to deliver impartial, timely services while ensuring responsible use of funds.

The position analyzes provider payments, enters youth placement payments, reviews JCATS data for accuracy, tracks funding sources, and prepares budget reports for probation officers while offering

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3 years progressive experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in governmental accounting and SABHRS preferred.
• Other combinations of related education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze provider payment data to ensure services are paid per contracts and funding sources.
• Enter payments for youth placements in the system.
• Review JCATS entries to verify data accuracy and reconcile with SABHRS.
• Track and monitor available funding sources to optimize use of appropriated funds.
• Provide budget status reports to probation officers and assist with fiscal matters.
