Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in financial reporting or budgeting and 5 years of related experience, incl. 2 years supervisory.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for UMMC's budgeting system and related processes.
  • Oversee state budgeting process: preparation, review, and submission of reports.
  • Review and analyze state appropriations for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with state, IHL, LBO, and institutional requirements.
  • Act as primary budget liaison between UMMC and LBO.
  • Maintain knowledge of Mississippi budgeting requirements and policies.
  • Coordinate and oversee departmental reports to IHL and other entities.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial and budget reports for LBO, IHL, and executives.
