Job summary

The Florida Department of Commerce is seeking a Budget Analyst C to support the Budget Management division in Tallahassee. You will manage program budgets, review financial documents and monitor expenditures for compliance, and prepare budget reports and amendments.

The role also assists with legislative budget requests and long-range planning for assigned budget entities, requiring strong analytical and communication skills to build effective working relationships.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures.
• Ability to review, analyze and evaluate financial data.
• Ability to develop and recommend budgetary revisions.
• Knowledge of methods of reviewing and analyzing financial data.
• Ability to conduct detailed analysis and management critiques of budget requests.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships.
