Job summary

Florida Commerce is seeking a Budget Analyst to assist the Chief of Budget Management in allocating and tracking program budgets throughout the fiscal year. This role includes reviewing documents, approving actions, and ensuring compliance with appropriations and policies.

The candidate will develop operating budgets, input data into FLAIR, and produce monthly financial and rate reports for management, while conducting ad hoc analyses and LRPP/LBR support as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of budgeting and auditing principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data for budget decisions.
• Understanding of laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing program budgets and allotments throughout the fiscal year.
• Review and approve documents for Budget Management; verify budget availability.
• Input allotments into FLAIR and assist in developing operating budgets.
• Monitor budget activity for compliance and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and assist LRPP/LBR processes.
• Communicate findings and collaborate with program staff and CFO.
