Job summary

FloridaCommerce seeks a Budget Analyst C-SES to assist in managing budgets and allotments, review documents, and input data into LAS/PBS and FLAIR. Based in Tallahassee, this SES role supports the Chief of Budget Management and the CFO through fiscal year activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting foundations, experience with government budgeting, and the ability to prepare monthly reports, analyze budget trends, and respond to legislative requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis for state programs.
• Ability to review, analyze and interpret financial data.
• Experience with budget development and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing assigned program budgets and allotments.
• Review and approve documents (e.g., requisitions, personnel actions, contracts).
• Input budget data into LAS/PBS and FLAIR systems.
• Monitor budget activity and prepare monthly budget/expenditure reports.
