Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Budget Analyst – Level 3 or Level 4 to support budgets for Manufacturing & Operations (M&O) and Facilities, located in Redondo Beach, CA or Linthicum, MD.

The role requires advanced Excel skills, SAP/S4 experience, and strong communication and analytical abilities. You will partner with budget owners and managers to achieve sector targets and deliver regular reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 1 year of experience.
No clearance required to start.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills; proficiency with PowerPoint and Word.
Oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and organizational skills; experience with SAP/S4.

Responsibilities

Compiles and reviews budgets for units using performance data, forecasts, and expenses to manage funds.
Oversees EAC planning and monitoring, including capital budgeting and direct labor yield analysis.
Monitors Space Sector targets and performance metrics.
Prepares regular and special-purpose reports; maintains historical records.
Analyzes budget variances and cost trends; establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts.
Recommends and interprets budget policies and procedures.
Collaborates with budget analysts to ensure sector targets are met.
Other duties as assigned.
