Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona's Singelyn Graduate School of Business seeks a Budget Analyst I to support budgeting initiatives for SGSB and the College's Centers and Institutes. This full-time, probationary role reports to the Dean and involves tracking revenues, expenditures, and preparing financial analyses.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Budget Analyst II, assisting with scholarship funds, travel budgets, and student reimbursements, and staying current with CSU policies.

Qualifications

• Combination - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field; substitution allowed year-for-year.
• Proficiency in budgeting principles and financial analysis.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for financial data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with financial systems and Excel for reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to support SGSB and College budgeting initiatives.
• Collects financial information across systems for budget reviews.
• Performs basic analysis of revenues, costs, and allocations.
• Monitors and reconciles various accounts related to SGSB, Centers, and Institutes.
• Tracks revenues, expenditures, encumbrances, and projections; assists with reports.
• Coordinates with Budget Analyst II and provides customer service to stakeholders.
