Job summary

The University of North Texas is seeking a Budget Officer to provide comprehensive budget support for the G. Brint Ryan College of Business. You will work with faculty grants, assist the Sr.

Director in tracking payroll and operating expenses, and develop analytic reports for senior leadership. This 1.0 FTE role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business and at least two years of financial administration experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting, finance, business or related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible financial administration or budget management experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors revenues, expenditures, and balances across multiple budgets.
  • Collects and analyzes data to prepare periodic reports.
  • Assists in annual budget submission and merit processes.
  • Provides budgetary and revenue estimates.
  • First point of contact for PI and tracks grant expenses.
  • Reconciles pcard reports and responds to pcard questions.
  • Prepares and may approve forms including personnel/payroll.
  • Analyzes data to identify corrections and initiate actions.
  • Oversees EPAR data entry procedures.
  • Supports accreditation budget processes.
  • Participates in year-end close tasks.
  • Processes check deposits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
