Job summary

Asplundh is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist in clearing and removing trees along power lines and right-of-ways. You will operate an aerial bucket truck to reach branches near energized lines and ensure safe, efficient work.

The role requires physical stamina, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work with crews in all weather. A valid CDL is required, and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and able to identify tree species.
• Physical energy, twisting, and lifting ability with good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work on the property.
• Promotes and maintains good customer and public relations with crew work.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and markers to protect people.
• Operates and services equipment including bucket trucks and power tools.
• Operates a Bucket near energized lines to remove branches.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue.
• Trains new personnel.
