Job summary

Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor, a faith-based life plan community near Houston, is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to support a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will perform routine cleaning of corridors, lounges, restrooms, and other shared spaces, assist with baggage carrying, and help maintain common areas in good order.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in housekeeping, good reading and writing ability, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in hospitality or health care.
• High school education or GED preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Clean routine and periodic maintenance of common non-residential areas (corridors, lounges, restrooms, offices, etc.).
• Trash removal and basic floor care; wash windows and assist residents as needed.
• Support for leaks, spills, and safety reporting to supervisor.
• Maintain organized storage and adhere to OSHA safety standards.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Creativity, teamwork, and a drive to exceed expectations are key traits we’re looking for as we work together to fulfill our mission of uplifting the lives of those we serve.Essential FunctionsPerforms both routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas (corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, utility rooms, vestibules, lounges, storage areas, recreation and exercise areas, etc.) according to prescribed standards and guidelines. Tasks to include floor care (vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, and spotting), trash removal, elevator cleaning, high and low dusting, cleaning of walls and other surfaces, restrooms and other duties assigned.Polices grounds for trash and removes trash from facilities. Washes windows, provides resident assistance with carrying baggage cleans resident carpets and may assist as housekeeper in resident homes.Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fire, etc.Informs Housekeeping Director of any supply shortages. Reports all infractions of state and federal regulations by company the Housekeeping Director or other appropriate personnel. Attends all scheduled in-services and meetings. Keeps all housekeeping storage facilities in a clean, organized manner.Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.High school education or GED preferred, but not required.Position requires a minimum of one to three years experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment.
