Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine cleaning of common areas and resident spaces following guidelines.
  • Maintains cleanliness and order in corridors, restrooms, offices and lounges.
  • Supports cleanup of leaks, spills, and emergencies as needed.
  • Notifies supervisor of supply shortages and adheres to safety standards.
  • Maintains a neat, organized work area and follows OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with residents and staff.
  • Demonstrates hospitality and respect toward residents, families, and colleagues.

Essential Functions
  • Performs both routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas (corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, utility rooms, vestibules, lounges, storage areas, recreation and exercise areas, etc.) according to prescribed standards and guidelines. Tasks to include floor care (vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, and spotting), trash removal, elevator cleaning, high and low dusting, cleaning of walls and other surfaces, restrooms and other duties assigned.
  • Polices grounds for trash and removes trash from facilities. Washes windows, provides resident assistance with carrying baggage cleans resident carpets and may assist as housekeeper in resident homes.
  • Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fire, etc.
  • Informs Housekeeping Director of any supply shortages. Reports all infractionsof stateand federal regulations by company the Housekeeping Director or other appropriate personnel. Attends all scheduled in‑services and meetings..
  • Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
  • High school education or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Position requires a minimum of one to three years experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment.
