Job summary

Utah Valley University seeks a Director of BSW Field Education to lead the field education component of the BSW program, cultivate agency partnerships, and ensure alignment with CSWE standards. The director will teach Field Practicum and Seminar, mentoring students to practice social work with integrity and ethics.

As UVU’s BSW grows, the role manages field education each semester and strengthens the link between classroom learning and professional practice in diverse community settings.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Two years of directly related experience.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of the BSW field education program.
• Consult on field placement and student problems; resolve grievances.
• Monitor field education policies per CSWE EPAS.
• Ensure compliance with licensure requirements for SSWs in Utah.
• Teach Field Practicum and Seminar courses.
• Plan trainings and field placement events.
• Supervise Associate Field Director; perform evaluations.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain documentation.
