BSP Software Engineer (Kernel/QNX) in Portland, OR, is a 1-year on-site contract. The BSP Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and maintenance of Kernel and QNX software for Company next-generation In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) seat boxes. The engineers will work closely with hardware, platform software, Android, and system integration, and validation teams to enable and support QNX-based platform functionality from bootloader through operating system and device driver layers.
Develop and test high quality client software applications in embedded systems from functional and system specifications.
Enhance existing software to optimize performance to meet KPIs, improve efficiency, and bolster robustness.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevOps environment.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project success.
Create and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to ensure software functionality and performance.
Implement rigorous testing processes, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance benchmarking
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
Actively contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.06/hour - $56.34/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
